About Diabetes Education

If a Doctor has diagnosed a client with diabetes, or with high sugar levels. Whether this is a long standing or new diagnosis, a Credentialed Diabetes Educator will take the time to teach their clients how to manage their diabetes. This may be through lifestyle changes and medication management, with a primary goal of prevention of diabetes complications, to help you feel your best.

Meet Vicki,
our Diabetes Educator

Vicki lives with Type 2 diabetes, and draws on her lived experience and extensive knowledge to support her clients

Vicki is a Credentialed Diabetes Educator with vast healthcare experience in both the public and private sectors. Vicki is also a registered nurse, having worked within hospitals, community health, governing bodies and private centres in various locations around Australia. Her empathetic approach to clients provides a holistic plan for diabetes management. During a consultation Vicki will take the time to understand how clients are navigating their diabetes management to create a personalised care plan.

With extensive experience and holds various postgraduate certificates within the health field, including her Australian Diabetes Educators Association (ADEA) diabetes educator credentials.

Vicki is also an active committee member with ADEA for 2025 and 2026. ADEA is a regulatory body for Credentialled Diabetes Educator’s promoting evidence based practice and advocating for better diabetes care in the health system.

Vicki can also speak Greek and Macedonian, and can arrange interpreters if required.
